gen 4 nvme in gen 3 slot BUT you go buy the off brand no name cheaper 1TB Gen 4 NVME for lets say, 70$ (6-7K read  Your notebook's NVMe slot is PCIe Gen 3 While a Gen 4 SSD will work, it will only run at the max speed allowed by the Gen 3 slot, which is  Gen 4 SSDs aren't worth it unless you're working with large files and doing a lot of sequential readwrites
